Damp Proofing Cream a ready-to-use silane/siloxane damp proof injection cream that has been designed to create an effective barrier against rising damp in existing buildings.

How long does it take for DPC cream to work?

When injecting a damp proof course into dry walls DPC cream will take up to four weeks to fully cure, if injected into wet walls this process may take 6 to 8 weeks.

How long does damp proofing take?

Damp proofing can be done quick and efficiently because of new technology. Small jobs can take 1 to 2 hours and larger jobs can be completed in approximately 6 to 7 hours.

Can I do damp proofing myself?

Yes, most damp proofing creams have been designed with both contractors and the public in mind. Please refer to the datasheet for application guidelines.

How long does damp proofing cream last?

Damp proofing cream with over 20% active ingredient last for at least 25 to 30 years.

How can you stop rising damp?

Install a damp proof course, once a DPC is injected all the ingredients activate and spread through the pores of the cement motor line, with the specially formed ingredients it cures to form a physical damp proof course protecting the treated walls against rising damp

No Hydro Masonry Protection Cream

Can Masonry Protection Cream be applied over render?

Yes, masonry protection cream is suitable to be used on rendering. However if there is paint applied to the rendering unfortunately the waterproofing cream would not work.

Can I power wash after applying Masonry Protection Cream?

Yes, after 1 month of masonry protection cream application the product will be fully cured. Once the cream has cured you can power wash the walls.

Note: you may notice that the surface beading effect has lessened however this will not stop the effectiveness of the masonry protection cream.

Yes, once applied masonry protection cream will provide a colourless breathable water proofing barrier, this will prevent any moisture from absorbing, this will then reduce the dirt build up.

What season is Masonry Protection Cream best applied in?

You can apply masonry protection cream in all seasons but always follow the datasheet recommendations. It is recommend applying with a minimum application temperature of 5°c and no rain is forecast for the next 24 hours.

Can Masonry Protection Cream be applied to wet walls?

When using masonry protection cream we recommend applying 24 hours after rainfall and 24 hours before any rain is forecast.

Can Masonry Protection Cream be applied to engineering bricks?

Yes, masonry protection cream can be applied to engineering bricks.

Can Masonry Protection Cream be applied to tiles?

Can I paint over Masonry Protection Cream?

Yes, masonry protection cream can be painted over with a water based exterior grade emulsion masonry paint.

No Hydro highly recommended you to paint over masonry protection cream within 3-10 days of application. If application is after 3-10 days the surface beading which develops can inhibit the paint adhering to the surface.

How do you treat externally damp walls?

The most common dampness on external walls is penetrating damp / rain penetration. You can treat penetrating damp and damp proof bricks by applying masonry protection cream.

No Hydro Masonry Water Seal

Can masonry water seal be applied in cold conditions?

Masonry water seal has a minimum application temperature of 5°c, however the manufacture minimum temperature we can advise is 3°c. Masonry water seal should not be stored in temperatures below 3°c.

How thick should tanking slurry be?

Tanking slurry is a minimum 2 coat application, with each layer applied at a uniform thickness of at least 1 mm per coat.

Does tanking slurry work?

Yes, tanking slurry waterproofs against positive and negative hydrostatic heads of water and is suitable for use, internally, externally, above and below ground.
